VI meeting of Consultation Board of “Southern Gas Corridor” to be held in Baku next month

The VI meeting of Consultation Board of the “Southern Gas Corridor” will be held in Baku on February 28, Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry told "APA-Economics".

The Ministry stated that it was also expected that the Commissioner for Energy of the European Commission Kadri Simson would visit Azerbaijan in order to participate in the mentioned event.

Note that the "Southern Gas Corridor" project envisages creation of the infrastructure of pipelines for transportation of Azerbaijani gas extracted from "Shahdeniz-2" field to Europe via Turkey. It is expected that this year the "Southern Gas Corridor" will be fully put into operation.
