USD 28,8 bln. out of USD 30,6 bln. invested by Great Britain in Azerbaijan’s economy so far fell on share of the energy sector, said Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov at the press conference on 4th meeting of Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Great Britain held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
"Realization of the National Priority "clean environment and green growth country" approved by the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the next decade, strategic decision to promote the development of renewable energy and green technologies and solution of its tasks open new opportunities to promote energy cooperation between our countries.
Decarbonization of integrated energy and transport systems, renewable energy, energy efficiency, pass to the liberal energy market and our cooperation on the electrical networks will give its contributions not only to the relations between two countries but also to the energy transition process”, said P. Shahbazov.
