Lukoil actively develops offshore fields in the Caspian Sea

Russian Lukoil company continues to develop three offshore fields in the north of the Caspian Sea, the Company told APA-Economics.

These fields are V. Filanovsky, Y. Korchagin and Rakushechnoye.

Currently, the stationary platform is being constructed on the Rakushechnoye field. Production is expected to start in this field in 2023. Annual production of the platform is planned to be 1.2 mln. tons.

Two new production wells were drilled within the framework of the second phase of the development of the field named after V. Filanovsky. Since 2018, annual production is kept at 6 million tons.

In addition, construction of the fourth well as part of the second stage of Y. Korchagin field was completed. As a result of the drilling program, it was possible to increase oil production by 27% in the first quarter of the current year.
