SOCAR strengthens secutity measures in connection with weather condition

Instructions have been given to oil and gas extraction departments of SOCAR operating in the sea, in order to strengthen security measures in connection to weather change, Deputy Head of SOCAR's Public Relations and Events Department Ibrahim Ahmadov told APA-Economics.

According to him, work conducted on open surfaces is stopped, duty is organized.

It should be reminded that earlier the State Maritime Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan issued a warning in connection with the weather conditions in the Caspian Sea. According to the agency, from the evening of July 27 to 29, the north-west wind is expected to increase to 19-24 m / s, at times up to 28-33 m / s, in the open sea up to 35 m / s. It is predicted that the wave height will reach 2-4 meters, as the wind intensifies - 5-7 meters.
