Turkey increases import of Azerbaijani gas by 38%

In January-June of the current year, Turkey has imported 4,41 bln. cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan and this is 37.8 % more compared to the same period of the previous year. Thus, Azerbaijan stands at the second place in Turkey's total gas imports, APA-Economics reports citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Turkey (EMRA).

In the first quarter of the previous year, Turkey imported 3,2 bln. cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan.

Russia stands at the top of Turkey’s total gas import and in January-June of the current year, Russia exported 7,99 bln. cubic metres of gas to Turkey. Iran, stood third in the reporting period, exported 3,75 bln. cubic metres of gas to Turkey.

Note that Turkey’s gas imports has been 19,02 bln cubic meters in the first half of the current year.
