Azerbaijan gets 1.6% rise in heating power production this year

In January-May 2018 the production and services in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam made up AZN 808.5 million, up 3% by contrast to a year earlier.

Production in the water supply, waste treatment and processing sector dropped 0.1% to AZN 121.9 million.

In January-May 2018 Azerbaijan produced 9,569,500,000 kWh of electric energy, down 0.2% in comparison to 2017.

Of this, 743.6 kWh makes up water power, which is 13.4% less than previous year, 8,448.8 kWh is heating power production, up 1.6% by contrast to 2017.

Wind power stations produced 6.4 kWh of energy, down 13.5% from previous year. Solar power production decreased 13.2% to 15.1 kWh.
