Baku – APA. Croatia wants to put an end to dependence on one or some energy sources. This concerns both oil and natural gas, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia said.
She noted that energy sector is of great importance.
“We are impatiently waiting for completion of TANAP, TAP and Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline’s connection with this network. Thus, we are waiting for realization of initiative on connection of Adriatic, Baltic and Black Seas through transport, energy and digitalization infrastructure and other options in order our businesses to contribute to the competitiveness of our economy. In terms of energy carrier and use of Croatia, especially ports, for transportation of our products to the Western Europe, I can see perspectives of close cooperation. Compared to the Northern Atlantic routes, this route will reduce time for transportation. Except energy and transport spheres, there are many opportunities for cooperation in establishment of infrastructure”, she stressed.
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović said Croatia has many construction companies intending to operate in Azerbaijan: “We also have companies manufacturing trains, ships and other transport facilities”.
