TAP is of great importance for gas supply to Europe and diversification of energy sources and Italian government fully supporting this project which meets ecological purposes provided in the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Italian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ivan Scalfarotto said at 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council.
‘Italy is determined to implement TAP successfully within the high cooperation of Azerbaijan and other participating countries’, Ivan Scalfarotto.
According to him, parliamentary elections to be held in March in Italy will not affect its commitments about the project.
