‘I congratulate Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev for his successes in presidential elections, Yury Sentyurin, the third Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, said at the opening of the Southern Gas Corridor.
According to him, energy security and successful cooperation depend on alliance: ‘19 gas exporting countries, which are currently participating in this event, think about it. 63% of pipelines are used for gas export. Gas export will increase by 1.5-fold. European market will more attractive. This will require a new infrastructure. The SGC is a significant infrastructure for this purpose’.
He also delivered his congratulation on 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan People’s Republic.
