Baku - APA-Economics. Ukraine may lose 30 billion cubic meters of gas from realization of Turkish Stream, Dmitry Marunich, a co-chairman of the Ukrainian Energy Strategies Fund said in a interview to radio Voice of the Capital (Kiev).

“We’ll lose 15 billion cubic meters transporting to Turkey through Ukraine and 15 billion cubic meters transporting to Italy, Bulgaria and Greece. On the background of realization of North Stream project, the matter is about a serious loss. In other word, Ukraine’s oil and gas system is about to face danger”, he said.

Marunich added that TANAP and Turkish Stream are incomparable due to their capacity: “TANAP is designed to transport 17 billion cubic meters of gas, of which 7 billion cubic meters will be transported to Turkey, remaining part to the EU countries. Capacity of a branch of Turkish Stream is more than TANAP’s total capacity”.
