Volume of oil and condensate extracted from Shahdeniz so far announced

In 2016, 7.5 million tonnes of total 41 million tonnes, 6.3 bcm of total 29.4 bcm of gas were produced by SOCAR.

According to SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev’s article in Azerbaijan newspaper, 5 million tonnes of total 25.6 million tonnes during the eight months of 2017 and 4 bcm of total 18.7 bcm of gas was produced by SOCAR.

Abdullayev also noted that Azerbaijan’s gas reserves exceeded 29 bcm: “Shahdeniz field has produced 85 bcm of gas and 21.2 million tonnes of condensate so far. Shahdeniz 2 has 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas and 240 million tonnes of condensate. More 16 bcm of gas will be added in current annual production within Shahdeniz 2, of which 6 bcm will be transported to Turkey, 10 bcm to Europe-Greece, Bulgaria and Italy. First gas will be delivered to Turkey in late 2018”.
