Hidayat Orujov: Untraditional religious sects in Azerbaijan is in working group level

“State bodies do not investigate the religious believes of businessmen in Azerbaijan. Every person in Azerbaijan can launch business within Azerbaijan laws irrespectively of their religious belief and nationality”. Head of the State Committee for Religious Communities Hidayat Orujov told the conference while commenting huge business activity of wahhabists in Azerbaijan, APA reports. Saying that there are a lot of traditional and untraditional religions worshippers in Azerbaijan, the Committee chief said emphasized misinterpretation of arrests of religious sects’ members by media.
“The arrest of religious sects’ representatives is commented from the point of their religious believes whereas they are concrete criminals”.
Hidayat Orujov said religious tolerance will not cause anarchy. He also said relevant authorities will take actions against any symptoms of anarchy if there are any.
“There are untraditional sects in Azerbaijan and in the working group level. Related state bodies are working on this, and positive successes are achieved”. /APA/
