Sergey Lavrov meets Haji Allahshukur Pashazada

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazada, head of Caucasus Muslims Office. Haji Alahshukur Pashazada said this visit of Russian Foreign Minister will strengthen friendship relations, sincere relations between Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents will contribute to the restoration of peace in the Caucasus as well as to the settlement of Karabakh conflict. â€œWe Muslims were very happy to hear reunification of Russian Orthodox Church and Orthodox churches of Russia abroad. Haji Allahshukur Pashazada said religious confrontations always caused huge disasters stressing the role of religious leaders on establishing peace. â€œSergei Lavrov conferred higher prize of Russia â€œFriendshipâ€ order on Haji Allahshukur Pashazada.
Russia Foreign Minister said Russia has many religious confessions and Foreign Ministry keeps good relationships with them. The Minister said he is to meet Muslim communities of Russia soon.
Father Aleksandr, bishop of Baku and Caspian Eparchy stressed Haji Allahshukur Pashazadaâ€™s role in the maintenance of peace and said there are every opportunities for the worship of Orthodox believers.
Head of the Coordination Council of the North Caucasus Muslims, mufti Haji Ismayil Berdiyev said Haji Allahshukur Pashazada deserves much higher orders. /APA/
