Two of the 12 revered Shi’ite imams are buried in the Samarra shrine - Imam Ali al-Hadi, who died in 868 and his son, the 11th imam, Hasan al-Askari, who died in 874. The statement condemned the US government. Caucasus Moslems’ Office told APA this attack made Muslims furious. “This attack aroused people’s fury. If this attack was carried out to provoke fury in Muslim people then this goal is achieved. But this provocation should not lead to sectarian strives between Moslems. Such subversive acts target Islam and its sacred values and those who planned and carried out it could not be Muslims. It is done by the forces wishing dividing Iraq state and its people, stirring up sectarian strive. The similar scenarios are carried out in other Muslim states which targets creating long lasting religious instability”.
The statement called world Muslims to demonstrate vigilance. It also noted that terror actions, attacks against important religious monuments and holy places occurred after the US invasion of this region. From this point of view the US is responsible for stability and security of the region. “We decisively insist to determine authors of these attacks and bring before international trials”.
Head of Caucasus Moslems’ Office Haji Allahshukur Pashazada applied to secretary general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoghlu and discussed measures to be done on this issue. Sheikh said he is to make speech on the attack on Golden Mosque in the meeting of the World Islamic People’s leadership. /APA/
