Today, August 30, Azerbaijan commemorates the 10th of Muharram – the Day of Ashura.
The Month of Muharram started in Azerbaijan on August 21.
According to the decision of the Task Force of Azerbaijan in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, condolence ceremonies will not be held in mosques and shrines during the period of Muharram, says the appeal issued by the Gazi Council of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) in connection with commencing of Muharram Month.
In this regard, the blood donation campaign will not be held in mosques as before, but this year due to the pandemic, the campaign will be organized in the capital and regional branches of Blood Bank.
