"No cases of joining illegal armed forces in foreign countries by Azerbaijani citizens have been recorded after 2016", said Sayavush Heydarov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, APA reports.
He noted that the persons having joined illegal armed groups also confessed that they had been deceived and had committed a blunder: “We see this from the testimonies of the persons who have been brought to responsibility, also we hear such comments from their close friends and relatives”.
