"The opening of "Abu Bakr" mosque has been envisaged. For this purpose, the creation of community at that mosque is being planned”, said Siyavush Heydarov, Deputy Chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations (SCWRO), APA reports.
He stated that a problem had been identified in the foundation of the minaret of the mosque: “The inclination of the minaret created an emergency situation. Therefore it is dangerous for people to gather there. The works over rehabilitation or demolition and reconstruction of the minaret are underway. And thereafter, a community will be created and will start functioning at the mosque”.
