Tomorrow is first Laylat al-Qadr of Ramadan in Azerbaijan

Tomorrow will be the first Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Value, Night of Destiny, one of the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar) of Ramadan in Azerbaijan, said the deputy chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Fuad Nurullayev in his statement to APA.

He said, this year, the first Laylat al-Qadr coincides with the night of May 12 to 13: "The Qadr nights of this year will be May 12 (the 18th day of Ramadan), May 14 (the 20th day of Ramadan) and May 16 (the 22nd day of Ramadan). Also, there is a specific Qadr night, which falls on the evening of the 26th day of Ramadan. The “Qadr” sura in Quran contains 26 words. Therefore, it is usually said that may be that night is also the Qadr night. This year, that Qadr night coincides with the night of May 20 to 21”.

Note that this year, Ramadan month in Azerbaijan started on April 25. May 24 is Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr) holiday.
