Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was enraged over the demolition of Haji Javad mosque in Baku, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Allahshukur Pashazade said on Tuesday, APA reports.
He noted that a new mosque had been constructed elsewhere by the president's immediate instruction.
"Fortunately, Haji Javad Mosque was returned to us. I would like to thank the president on behalf of all the believers in this regard. Because a mosque can not be demolished, even though it is fractured and old. Fortunately, our president ordered the construction of a more beautiful and large mosque,” Pashazade added.
