Allahshukur Pashazade: Some circles want to spark unrest in Azerbaijan at the hands of believers

Some circles in the region want to influence Azerbaijan and spark unrest in the country at the hands of religious people, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Allahshukur Pashazade said on Tuesday, APA reports.

He noted that one of the main purposes of these circles is to create a religious confrontation in Azerbaijan.

“A religious factor lies at the root of the destabilization in Iraq and Syria. There are also those who want to see the same thing in Azerbaijan,” Pashazade said.

Pashazade called on believers to be attentive in these issues.

“We must be careful in these issues and should not allow anyone to create a religious confrontation in Azerbaijan,” the CMO chairman added.
