By the will of Allah, Armenians became the neighbors of the Azerbaijani people some 200 years ago, but unfortunately, they turned out to be wicked, said Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade.
The CMO chairman made the remarks on Wednesday at an event dedicated to the centenary of March 31 – the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis, APA reports.
“Over these 200 years, Armenians could not have committed numerous acts of genocide against Azerbaijanis on their own. Behind them were some major powers that had separatist plans about us,” he said.
Pashazade added that mosques have been desecrated in the Armenian-occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
He also stressed that Armenians are now seeking to continue the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on a religious sphere.
