Baku. Javid Zeynalli – APA. Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Allahshukur Pashazadeh called for unity against enemy and oppression on Ashura Day.

The number of people donating blood in this campaign is increasing every year, CMO chairman said during blood donation campaign at Taza Pir mosque. “It is due to the growth in faith, as well as high level of relations between the state and religion. Everyone is joining this campaign regardless of their faith and religion. The blood donation held in our country is welcomed all over the world. Iran and Turkey are also holding such campaigns on Ashura Day,” he said.

CMO chairman noted that people were gathering in the streets in the past, as there were a few mosques. “But as the number of mosques was increased in Azerbaijan, now the ceremonies are held there. New mosques will be opened in some places,” he added.
