Like other traditional religions, Islam has also faced global challenges, Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia said in his message of greetings to the participants of the international conference “Islamic solidarity – The Call of The Time” that kicked off in Baku March 15.
The message was read out by Bishop Dmitri Kapanadze, a representative of Georgian Orthodox Church.
“Many people were killed and unique monuments were destroyed as a result of the recent terrorist acts in the world. Such cases are sometimes associated with Islam. This idea should be changed. I believe today’s conference will serve this purpose”, Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia said in his message.
