Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli said Thursday that the proposal of creating a “military cemetery” in the country may be discussed, APA reported.
He noted that there is currently a practice of placing special signs at martyrs’ graves.
“The practice of placing special signs at martyrs’ graves remains. However, the proposal of creating a common military cemetery or allocating a special place in cemeteries for deaths from the army may be discussed in the future,” added Gurbanli.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Regional Issues Arif Rahimzadeh had earlier proposed creating a cemetery of standard graves for military deaths.
