President issues decree on improvement of visa issuance procedure for foreigners in airports

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has issued a decree on improvement of visa issuance procedures for foreigners in international airports.

APA reports that according to Azerbaijan’s legislation, President’s acts and Azerbaijan interstate and intergovernmental agreements, visa issuance for foreigners in the international airports are carried out via ASAN Visa system.

The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan is to provide issuance of visas for foreigners in the international airports via ASAN Visa system, as well as making of payments for visa via ASAN pay system.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to carry out transfer of its service points in the international airports to the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan stage-by-stage, to submit the list of countries, of which citizens are considered to obtain issues in eth airports, to the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to take measures for placement of information about change in visa issuance procedure on the internet information resources of the Ministry, Azerbaijan’s embassies and consulates abroad and inform the diplomatic representations of relevant countries.

The decree will enter into force on May 15, 2018.
