Ruslan Guliyev, President of the Association for Support to Health and Thermal Tourism in Azerbaijan, has been elected President of the Global Healthcare Travel Council.
The international organization's meeting for election was organized within the framework of the exhibition “Hestourex” (Health, Sports and Alternative Tourism) in Antalya, with 48 representatives from 22 countries participating in the voting.
During the event, the organization also elected 6 vice-presidents. Azerbaijan has taken over the chairmanship of the organization from the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, Jeyhun Ashurov, member of the board of directors of the Association for Support to Health and Thermal Tourism in Azerbaijan, was elected Deputy Secretary General of THE Global Healthcare Travel Council.
Ruslan Guliyev talked about Azerbaijan's health tourism potential and prospects and announced the organization’s platform.
Azerbaijan joined this international organization in 2014. 60 countries, including Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey and India, are also members of the organization.
