Azerbaijan is represented in the 71st International Book Fair in Frankfurt

On October 16, 71st International Book Fair has started in Frankfurt city of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan Republic told APA.

Various publishing houses and polygraphy institutions from most countries of the world present their products in the Frankfurt Fair, organized every year.

Guest of Honor of the Frankfurt Book Fair is Kingdom of Norway in 2019.

Delegation, consisted of the employees of the Ministry and some local publishing houses and led by First Deputy Minister of Culture Vagif Aliyev, attends the largest book fair of the world, in which Azerbaijan is traditionally represented.

Books dedicated to the life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev, publications about our statehood, history, and culture are presented at a special stand prepared with the design of the ancient Maiden Tower and Icherisheher's walls in a 56 square meters area of the country in the exhibition.

The exhibition is important in terms of establishing contacts with foreign partners in the field of publishing and polygraphy, promoting the rich culture and rapid development of Azerbaijan, as well as promoting the Garabagh truths. Business meetings and presentations between publishing and book companies are being organized within the exhibition.

A meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister of Culture Vagif Aliyev and the Consul General of Turkey in Frankfurt-am-Main Burak Kararti on October 16, the first day of the exhibition. During the meeting, the relations between the two countries in the field of books and publishing were highly appreciated.

Note that, the 71st Frankfurt International Book Fair will last until October 20.
