Last championship in team sport branches also completed in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijan championships in handball have been completed, the general secretary of the Azerbaijan Handball Federation Yusif Atakishiyev told APA.

He said the national championship among males and females suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic will not be continued. According to Atakishiyev, the federation taking into consideration the extension of the strict quarantine regime has made decision to complete 2019/20 season.

While "Mahsul" team has been announced champion in the competition of male handball players, the Baku team has come 2-nd, while the "Tahsil"team has taken the 3-rd place. As for the struggle of the female teams, the Azeryol team has been conferred gold medals. The Garabagh team satisfied with silver medal, while Azersu team has been satisfied with the bronze prize.
