It is with a heavy heart that Baku City Circuit must announce that Sam Smith will no longer be able to perform in Baku this Saturday. In the wake of having to cut his South African Tour short last week and after having a short break, Sam has been instructed by medical specialists that he requires further rest, ONA reports.
As a result of this, he will not be able to perform in Baku this coming weekend. Sam’s health and wellbeing are of the utmost importance to everyone here at BCC and we fully support that his focus now needs to be on a full recovery at this time.
All of us appreciate this is not the news his many fans in Baku had hoped to hear but we want to remind everyone coming to the Formula 1 SOCAR Azerbaijan Grand Prix that we still have a full weekend of non-stop on and off-track action on offer for all of our visitors and we are determined to ensure every single F1 fan has the most incredible weekend with us here in Baku.
In the meantime, we wish Sam a full and speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back to Baku in the near future.
