Draft on Amnesty act recommended to Parliament

Permanent parliamentary commission for legal policy and state system establishment held its meeting. Ali Huseynov, Chairman of the Commission said the president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, parliamentarian Mehriban Aliyeva presented the draft law on Amnesty act to the parliament.
Ali Huseynov said the amnesty act is to target 9,000 prisoners. Ali Huseynov said the act will be executed in three months after it was signed. Humbatov Musa, Chief of the Department on Execution of Court Decisions at the Justice Ministry said three months are required for the collection of necessary documents for some category of prisoners. According to him, after the amnesty comes into force, corresponding bodies should respond citizensâ€™ applications immediately. The draft law was recommended to the parliament after the debates. /APA/
