Azerbaijani Parliament chairman meets Polish President

Delegation led by speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov was on official visit to Poland on May 21-23, parliament’s press service told the APA.
Ogtay Asadov met with chairman of Polish Senate Bogdan Borusevich. They exchanged views on the development of interparliamentary relations, Azerbaijan-Poland relations, energy security in Europe, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues.
The speaker and chief of Polish Seym Ludvig Dorn debated on the activity of Polish Diaspora in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan-Poland Friendship Group set up in Azerbaijani parliament. Dorn noted that there is an initiative to set up such a group in Seym.
Bilateral economic relations, increase of trade turnover, energy issues, investments were on focus at the meeting with Polish Prime Minister Yaroslav Kachinsky., Foreign Minister Anna Fotyga, Economic Minister Pyotr Voznyak.
Kachinsky touched upon Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict said they support Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
Ogtay Asadov also met with Polish president Lech Kaczyński. They debated on region issues, energy security in Europe, just solution to Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues of mutual concern.
Solemn ceremony on occasion of May 28 – national holiday of Azerbaijan Republic, official reception was organized in the framework of the visit.
Representatives of Polish leadership, diplomatic corpse, scientists, intelligentsia and people related to Azerbaijan. /APA/
