Military designer Alexander Blagonravov passed away

Chief Designer BMP-2 and BMP-3, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation Alexander Blagonravov died at the age of 86, the chairman of the Kurgan Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Sergey Muratov said, APA reports citing Tellereport.

“He died on the night of December 31 to January 1. The date of the funeral is still unknown, ”Muratov said.

This information was also confirmed by the government of the Kurgan region on its VKontakte page.

"Alexander A. Blagonravov, an honorary citizen of the city of Kurgan and the Kurgan region, honored worker of science and technology of the Russian Federation, doctor of technical sciences, passed away ... Earlier, President of the Academy of Military Sciences, Soviet military leader and veteran of World War II, Makhmut Gareev died at the age of 96.
