The Russian President Vladimir Putin has appealed to the country’s Muslims, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
V. Putin has asked the Russian Muslims to celebrate Ramadan holiday at home.
“I know what attitude is shown to this holiday and how the customs are being preserved in Russia’s Daghestan Republic. The clergymen call on believers, the followers of Islam religion to celebrate this holiday at home, to refrain from communal prays and the tradition of large parties with participation of friends. I hope that everybody will hear this appeal”, the head of the state noted in his virtual meeting with Daghestan’s leadership and representatives of wider public.
