Russia and China will start building an international scientific station on the Moon in 2026 and complete it by 2035, the latter country's National Space Administration (CNSA) confirmed on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The teams will conduct necessary technological arrangements and transport cargo between 2026 and 2030 and then engage in infrastructure works. In the meantime, they will launch six missions that will observe the environment and provide information for the preparation work.

The CNSA and Russia's Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities announced the plans to construct the International Scientific Lunar Station (ISLS) back in April.
