Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that US troops’ pullout from Afghanistan means that the country’s policies and military mission failed after 20 years presence in the war-afflicted country, APA reports citing TASS.
United States has repeatedly admitted that they have achieved the goal for which they engaged militarily in the first place and now is the time leave Afghanistan.
Sergey Lavrov during his lecture at the Far Eastern Federal University glimpsed at what new changes occurred during the two-decade US stay in Afghanistan. Lavrov said that terrorist and drug threats have dramatically soared ever since US and its allies attacked Afghanistan in 2001.
He also said that US men in uniform were involved in drug trafficking and now Islamic state is pulling its forces into northern Afghanistan which threatens Russian allies in the region.
