The Moscow Region Dolgoprudnenskaya public organization of war veterans, labor of the Armed Forces, and law enforcement agencies appealed to the federal authorities with an appeal to dismantle the monument to the fascist collaborator Nzhdeh in Karabakh, recalling the inadmissibility of glorification of the minions of fascism, APA reports.

The statement refers to the crimes committed by Nzhdeh formed from captured Armenian Red Army soldiers and the "Armenian Legion" who fought in the Wehrmacht against thousands of civilians in Poland, Ukraine, the murder of more than twenty thousand civilians in Western Crimea.

Emphasizing the importance of the victory over fascism as an event uniting all the peoples of the former USSR, the organization warns that finding a monument on the territory where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is going to celebrate Victory Day is undermining one of the few unifying values in the Eurasian space. Veterans are also sure that this undermines the authority of Russia as a principled fighter against the glorification of fascism.
