Pashinyan made a phone call to Vladimir Putin

A telephone conversation held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, APA's Moscow correspondent reports quoting the Kremlin press service.

According to the Kremlin press service, the telephone conversation took place in the evening of May 13 at the initiative of the Armenian side.

The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed during the telephone conversation.

During the exchange of views on the recent situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of strict observance of all provisions of the statements of the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan dated November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021, first of all, the ceasefire.

The Russian side reaffirmed its intention to continue active mediation efforts to ensure stability in the region and to maintain close contact with Yerevan and Baku. Expressing gratitude to the Russian President, Nikol Pashinyan said he was in favor of constructive dialogue and cooperation to resolve all issues through peaceful, political and diplomatic means.

The sides also touched upon the restoration of economic, transport and logistics ties in the South Caucasus.
