# 22 June 2021 16:57 (UTC +04:00)

Russia and Turkey are formally resuming full charter and regular flights from Tuesday, APA reports citing TASS.

Air traffic with Turkey has been restricted since mid-April amid a new coronavirus outbreak in that country. The number of flights was reduced to two per week on a reciprocal basis. Until now, only Aeroflot and Turkish Airlines have performed them.

Now it will be possible to operate flights between Russia and Turkey from June 22 from 32 cities of Russia.

Aeroflot plans to increase the number of flights to Turkey the fastest: from two flights a week, the carrier will increase the frequency of flights to two times a day from 25 June.

Moreover, Aeroflot did not rule out a further increase in the number of flights to Turkey, depending on demand and flight load.

Turkish Airlines plans to resume flights to Russia in full.
