Ukraine reports 705 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine recorded 705 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,237,202, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

"Some 705 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 27 children and 22 health workers) were recorded in Ukraine on July 2, 2021," the Health Ministry of Ukraine posted on Facebook

According to the report, 36 COVID-related deaths, 420 hospitalizations, and 1,072 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on July 2.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,237,202 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,170,656 have recovered and 52,460 have died.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv city (185), Kyiv region (48), Donetsk region (43), Dnipropetrovsk region (40), and Poltava region (39).

Over the past day, more than 94,000 people were vaccinated in Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 2,038,239 people have been vaccinated. In particular, 1,038,237 people received one dose, 823,923 people were fully immunized and received two doses.
