On June 23, the Presentation of the "Peace for culture" global campaign has been held at International Mugham Center, APA reports.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Culture Minister Anar Karimov noted that holding ''Peace for Culture'' global campaign is a historic moment.
He added that this global campaign intends protection of cultural heritage through peace, building peaceful and lasting peace-loving societies and strengthening international peace systems, as well as to study the role of peace in the development of culture along with the role of culture in achieving peace.
High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Miguel Angel Moratinos said that Azerbaijan addressed with this new initiative and he responded to this immediately: "We should find mechanism and tools to respond to today's reality and problems.
We can build a better society, we can live together in peace."
