Work begun in Azerbaijan to open an ICESCO regional office

Attending the forum of Interreligious Dialogue of the G-20 Summit in Bologna, Italy the minister of Culture Anar Karimov has met with Director General of ICESCO Salim bin Mohammed. Al-Malik, the Ministry of Culture told APA.

Relations between Azerbaijan and ICESCO have been discussed at the meeting, views the visit of the Director-General to Azerbaijan in January 2021, issues discussed within the framework of that visit has been exchanged.

It has been stressed at the meeting that the most important issues include the announcement of Shusha as the "Capital of Islamic Culture", the completion of the opening of the ICESCO regional office in Azerbaijan, as well as the celebration of the 880th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi at IESCO.
