The 10th Gabala International Music Festival has officially started with a solemn open-air ceremony at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center, APA reports.
Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Gilan Holding, the festival will feature world-renowned conductors, performers and bands from Azerbaijan, Russia, Israel, USA, Switzerland, Austria, Cuba, Hungary, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Georgia.
The event was attended by the Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev, the Chairman of the Council of Aksakals MP Fatah Heydarov, the head of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Hijran Huseynova, the deputy Elmira Akhundova and etc.
At the opening ceremony, a congratulatory letter from First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva was read.

It should be noted that the musical groups of Azerbaijan, the world-famous musicians, chamber and symphony orchestras, soloists and conductors will take part in the international music festival, which will continue until August 8.
People's Artist Farhad Badailleili noted that the festival does not have a commercial character, there are no tickets.
Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev told about the growth of the level of the festival and interest in the event.
After the speeches and the official part with a wide concert program the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeir Hajibeyov performed.
It should be noted that musical groups of Azerbaijan, world-famous musicians, chamber and symphony orchestras, soloists and conductors will take part in the international music festival, which will continue until August 8.
