People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Rafig Huseynov died on Oct. 26 while undergoing treatment in Düsseldorf, Germany, the deceased’s wife, Sabina Huseynova, told APA.
"The doctors did their best but couldn’t keep him alive. He died on October 26. I asked government agencies not to tell anyone because if my daughter read this story from the press, it would be difficult for her. You’re the first person I’m giving this news to. Now you can disseminate it. I have already prepared my daughter psychologically. I couldn’t have a word with Rafig. He heard my voice, opened his eyes, but could not speak. His heart stopped as soon as he fell into coma. The doctors said that it was impossible to restore the function of the lung,” she said.
Huseynova added that the body will be brought to Baku in two days.
"Our consulate in Germany is dealing with this issue. Everything will be highly organized by the state," she said.
