State Committee releases information regarding Azerbaijani who died of coronavirus in Sweden

"Our compatriot Amin Etibar Salayev living in Stockholm City, the capital of the Kingdom of Sweden, has died at the age of 22 from novel coronavirus (COVID-19)", the State Committee on Work with Diaspora told APA.

The report says according to the information received from representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora functioning in Sweden, the health condition of the young man who had been undergoing treatment from COVID-19 virus for one month already aggravated further during the recent two weeks.

“Although our compatriot underwent treatment for several weeks at the hospital situated in Stockholm, his life couldn’t be saved and our young compatriot passed away last night.

Note that A. Salayev who was born in Israel in 1998 and later moved together with his family to Sweden, had been living in Sweden for about 20 years. He was the last year student of the Swedish Technical University.

On behalf of senior officials and employees of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, we express our condolences to the parents of the deceased man and wish them patience”, the report notes.
