"One of the main objectives of the Azerbaijan-Israel International Association is to promote government-led activities in the development of international relations, foreign economic and political relations, conducting research on relevant issues, organizing various courses, seminars, round tables, meetings and exhibitions," General Director of the Azerbaijan-Israel International Association (Aziz) Lev Spivak told APA.
According to him, the Association within 30 days after state registration ensures the inclusion of members of the Association in the register, cooperates with relevant state and municipal bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as with international organizations.
L. Spivak also noted that one of the Association’s objectives is to promote the cultures of Azerbaijan and Israel, bring Azerbaijan’s position to Israel and the whole world, implement and publicize joint projects of the Jewish and Azerbaijani diasporas in the world.
“Today is the first day of the visit of a delegation of heads of Israeli cities to Azerbaijan. The visit started paying tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev. Today our Association is being established in Azerbaijan and congress is also held for this purpose. We have been operating as a non-governmental organization in Israel for over 12 years. I think that our activity can be considered successful. Because, we give information to the Israeli community abut our joyful news, cultural events, holidays, as well as sad events, information about the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh territories of Azerbaijan, our killed children. I consider that it is already the time to establish such an association in Azerbaijan in order to deliver the realities of Israel to Azerbaijan. One of the main tasks of this Association is to coordinate activities of Azerbaijani and Israeli diasporas operating around the world,” Lev Spivak stated.
