The National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia has hosted a dinner-party for the country’s athletes competing in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.
Athletes competing in the Islamic Games, as well as representatives of foreign diplomatic corps in Azerbaijan and other guests participated in the event, APA reports.
Vice-President of the NOC of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulhakim Al Saud said that the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games being held in Baku are of great importance for solidarity of the Islamic world. According to him, the games bring representatives of various Muslim countries together through sports. “Azerbaijan has perfectly organized Baku-2017. We express gratitude to Azerbaijan for it. Such a high organization is a step towards Islamic solidarity. We believe that such games will expand the Islamic solidarity in the field of sports like in all areas”, said the NOC Vice-President.
