Georgia to pay special attention to teaching state language in regions with ethnic minorities

Georgia will pay special attention to teaching the state language in regions predominantly populated by ethnic minorities, Georgian Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli during parliamentary hearings on Wednesday, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.

The minister said that the development of the education system mainly focus on the increase of the education level, approximation to international standards and providing inclusive education at all levels of education.

Chkhenkeli noted that special attention will be paid to the transformation of rural schools to educational centers that will incorporate kindergartens, schools, vocational training programs, libraries, sports and creative clubs in order to solve the existing problems.
