Baku – APA. Azerbaijan's energy policy is highly appreciated by the international community, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The president made the remarks at an official reception held at the Heydar Aliyev Center Oct. 17 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the restoration of the state independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
“We have created an international cooperation format, which we are expanding,” he noted.
The head of state said that serious steps are being taken to develop other sectors of the economy in the country. "In the coming years, the non-oil sector will be developing even faster,” he added.
President Aliyev stressed that serious reforms are being carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of governance.
"Unpleasant facts are being dealt with harshly. The actions taken in this area are beginning to produce significant results,” he said.
Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is known as a reliable partner in the world today.
"All our projects are designed for cooperation,” added the president. “We should offer the world markets opportunities for diversified export in the future. Intellectual exports too are of immense importance.”
