Novruz Mammadov, whose candidacy for Azerbaijan’s new prime minister was approved by the parliament on April 21, said he would try to do his best to perceive the responsibility of the tasks set by the country’s president and to fulfill them, APA reports.
Today Azerbaijan is going through its best period thanks to the successful policy of the head of state, noted Mammadov addressing the parliament.
“In recent years, Azerbaijan has achieved great successes in foreign and domestic policy. I’m very happy that I witnessed this period,” the prime minister said.
Mammadov went on to say that when development reaches its peak, it should be protected on the one hand, and, on the other hand, it should be further expanded.
“This is a very difficult task. I will try to do my best in close cooperation with state bodies and parliament members for fulfilling this task,” he said.
The prime minister stated that one of his main duties will be connected with economy.
"By concretizing the achievements made to date, taking into account the priority of reforms, we will be able to execute these duties,” Mammadov added.
