Umid (Hope) Party’s Supreme Assembly has decided not to participate in the presidential elections scheduled for April 11 this year.
The reason for this is the fact that the party's statute notes the congressional determination of the candidate for presidency: The next congress is scheduled for May 28. To legally hold an extraordinary congress is impossible by time. Therefore, the Party’s Supreme Assembly has decided not to take part in the elections,” the Party told APA.
The Party also stressed that party members are free in their own choices to vote and can vote for any candidate.
Today, the Musavat Party's Assembly decided not to participate in the presidential elections.
